website accessibility & inclusive design
accessibility, built in. not bolted on.
Audits, hands-on remediation, and accessible WordPress design so your site works for keyboards, screen readers, and every visitor who lands on it. A human team does the work; supporting technology plays a backup role, never the lead.
Part of the complete creative solution: brand, website, and AI guidance, all from one boutique team.
an accessible site is a site more people can actually use.
Accessibility work protects the visitors who’d otherwise bounce off a broken form or an unreadable menu, and it tends to leave you with cleaner code and a faster, more usable site for everyone else too.
what’s included.
Four pieces, brought together instead of handed to four vendors.
accessibility audit
Knowledgeable human review informed by WCAG 2.2 AA plus automated scanning, keyboard-only and screen-reader spot checks, and a prioritized report your team can act on.
remediation
Hands-on fixes: color contrast, semantic HTML, ARIA labeling, keyboard navigation, alt text, and accessible forms, done by people, not a script.
accessible WordPress design
New builds and redesigns with accessibility designed in from the first wireframe, plus editor-friendly patterns your team can keep accessible after launch.
monitoring & checks
Regular accessibility checks folded into your Care & Growth plan, so new content and updates don’t quietly reintroduce issues.
how we work through it.
-
audit & prioritize
We test the real experience, not just a scanner report, and rank findings by impact so the highest-value fixes come first.
-
remediate by hand
A person fixes the markup, styles, and interactions. Where a supporting tool genuinely helps, we add it; it’s never the whole plan.
-
monitor & keep it that way
Ongoing checks catch drift from new content and plugin updates, so the work you paid for doesn’t quietly erode.
where supporting technology fits, and where it doesn’t.
Tools like accessiBe and similar overlay or widget products can add helpful features on top of a well-built site: things like adjustable text sizing or a keyboard-navigation menu. We’ll use one if it genuinely helps your visitors.
What we won’t do is sell a plugin as the whole fix. Overlay tools cannot resolve every underlying issue in markup, forms, content, media, documents, and third-party components, and they don’t establish legal compliance on their own. Source-level work and human evaluation are the core of this service — supporting technology is optional and secondary, never the headline and never a guarantee.
questions we get asked.
- What does a website accessibility audit include?
- A knowledgeable human review informed by WCAG 2.2 AA alongside automated scanning, keyboard-only and screen-reader spot checks, and a prioritized findings report your team can act on.
- What's the difference between an audit and remediation?
- An audit finds and documents issues. Remediation is the design and development work that fixes them: color contrast, semantic HTML, ARIA labeling, keyboard navigation, alt text, and accessible forms.
- Can accessibility be achieved with an overlay tool alone?
- No. Overlay and widget tools, including accessiBe, can be a useful supporting layer, but they don't replace hands-on remediation and testing. We treat them as optional supporting technology, never the whole plan and never a guarantee of compliance.
- Do you guarantee full WCAG or ADA compliance?
- No. Legal requirements depend on the site, its content, the applicable jurisdiction, and ongoing practices. We use WCAG 2.2 AA-informed design, evaluation, remediation, and monitoring, but we don't offer legal guarantees. Legal advice comes from qualified counsel.
- Does this work with WordPress specifically?
- Yes. We specialize in WordPress accessibility: theme and plugin audits, block and page-builder remediation, and editor-friendly patterns your team can keep accessible after launch.
- Is accessibility a one-time fix or ongoing work?
- Ongoing. New content, plugin updates, and design changes can reintroduce issues, so we recommend regular accessibility monitoring and checks as part of a Care & Growth plan.
