I have a café client who we assist with their IT at times. I used to manage a small IT firm in a previous life and often help out friends and clients with their internet & hardware. Especially when it’s convenient to me, insuring that my favorite cafés have speedy wifi…which you CANNOT get from AT&T and/or DSL. But I digress…
One of the things we like to feature is creative. Creative the noun. Anything creative (the adjective).
In a marketing facet we present the following simple, creative example:
We assisted the aforementioned café to start using their wifi password to ingrain certain policies into their clientele.
Their first password: “4pmHappyHour”
Their current password: “NOwifiweekends”
Sitting here in the cafe & writing this blog, I think I’ve heard “No wifi weekends” at least a dozen times. Will I remember that they don’t offer wifi on weekends this weekend?
Another café we recently visited here in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco had a password of “drinkmorecoffee’
Incredibly easy, no hassle, but a great way to market creatively…and instill a marketing message to the audience.
